OUR MISSION
To plant and nurture 150,000 trees over five years to complement Singapore’s mission of 1,000,000 more trees by 2030
OUR OBJECTIVES
ARE IN LINE WITH...
CITY IN NATURE
"We will set aside 50% more land – around 200 hectares – for nature parks. Every household will live within a 10-minute walk of a park. By planting one million more trees across our island, which will absorb another 78,000 tonnes of CO2, we will enjoy cleaner air, and cooler shade.
With more green spaces, there will be more wildlife amongst us – from migratory birds and hornbills, to otters and mousedeers. But some animals may get into conflict with people too. We will be working with communities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to develop programmes to allow humans and wildlife to live in harmony. By 2030, Singapore will be a green and beautiful City in Nature."
GOAL 15: LIFE ON LAND
"Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
As the world responds to and recovers from the current pandemic, it will need a robust plan for protecting nature, so that nature can protect humanity."

WHY PLANT TREES?
“Increasing vegetation on land will increase soil fertility and ground water recharge, increasing evapotranspiration, in turn leading to increased cloud cover and increased rainfall. Increased cloud cover causes an increase in atmospheric cooling through additional reflectance of incoming solar radiation as well as an increase of energy transfer back into space, which together have regulatory effects on earths’ warming.”
United Nations Environment Programme’s Foresight Brief, 25th Edition, July 2021
Trees do more than provide shade and sequester carbon from the atmosphere. As an urban metropolis, Singapore needs to capture every opportunity to establish vegetative cover to help restore moisture cycles in the air and on the ground to help cool Earth and contribute to creating stable rain cycles around the world.
WE COLLABORATE,
WE ENGAGE
with Patrons to sponsor the planting of 150,000 trees
with schools so as to enable the students to receive valuable lessons and experiences in cultivating and nurturing a tree from seedling to sapling while simultaneously imparting critical life traits such as patience , mindfulness, kindness, responsibility and self esteem.
with Social Agencies to enhance socio – economic programmes. Benefitting the underprivileged and underserved communities in Singapore
TARGET 15
HOW IT WORKS
1
Patron sponsors and contributes
Patron sponsors and contributes to Target 15 , initiating a new life cycle for a tree to count towards Singapore‘s goal of planting one million more trees by 2030.
2
Schools receive pledge for every viable sapling
At the end of each harvesting period , the saplings will be collected by the Target 15 crew.
Target 15 will pledge $30 to the respective schools for each viable sapling. The school has sole discretion on where and how the funds are to be used.
3
Students learn from nurturing seeds to saplings
Seeds are entrusted to schools to cultivate and nurture for a hands on experience.
These schools will also receive between 200 to 800 seedlings per six month harvesting period to cultivate and nurture saplings.
